Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"El Dubya"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Way out in Texas, there lives ol' El Dubya
Fam'ly and luck drive his politics game
When on the ranch, he acts like it's a castle
Struts and misuses his power and fame

Back in two thousand he won the election
After strange recounts of Florida votes
Two thousand four he's, again, the selection
I guess the voters were not taking notes

Cashed in on Nine-Eleven, took charge
His popularity's lar-a-a-a-arge
Vowed for Twin Towers,
Revenge would be ours
Osama Bin Laden
He'd hunt down and kill

Stirred..up..support,..and

Moved armored troops to Afghanistan's far shore
And soon the Taliban quickly fell back
But, Saddam Hussein had that beef with his daddy
So, he switched the focus to naughty Iraq

Sent Colin Powell to the United Nations
Preaching a case for Gulf War number two
Claimed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction
With or without UN's help war was due..

March, of two thousand three that war began
Vic'try declared on May fir-ir-ir-irst..
"Mission Accomplished.."
Said, our leader, all polished
His observation would prove to be cursed

Al...Qua..da...fought...back

Now, four years later, because of El Dubya
Death toll is high and continues to grow

Stubbon El Dubya still insists we're winning
Even as road bombs go on killing more
Staying the course, with his faked war's beginning
In spite of new CIA facts galore

When, down in New Orleans, Katrina blew
Slow was response to the ca-a-a-all
Cabinet members
Chill out like cold embers
Still, he plays his game with an airless dropped ball

Just..keeps...say..ing...the

World's better off without Saddam Hussein here
Weak reason for all our bravest to die
Unanswered facts haunt Guantanamo prison
Where must the waterboard torture blame lie?

Many mistakes have been made in his two terms
Never have foreign affairs been so low
Yet, in news conferences, so presidential
Boasts the economy has a great flow..

How can he be so self-righteously wrong,
And what will his legacy be-e-e-ee ?
Add up the errors
With funeral pallbearers
Hundreds of pages of sad history

Just,,one,,more..year..

This administration will fin'lly be finished
And the replacement is anyone's guess
Be they conservative, or be they liberal,
They will inherit one hell of a mess

It's quite amazing, there's so many running
Candidates everywhere, boggle the brain
Knowing as President, they'll just be winning.
Controls of El Dubya's runaway train..

You did not waver. You did not falter. You did prevail. Mission accomplished. Make no mistake about it. Except, in your case, it's actually true.

AFW - Liked parody but disagree with the facts. I was in during Vietnam and Persian Gulf War 1. The death toll is no where close to that of Vietnam. Ever see the Vietnam memorial in DC? Over 50,000 names. Me, I'd much rather be fighting at their house than at ours. I'm not one of these Hollywood arm chair generals that don't know a shiite from a dab of shinola. Been about here and there and most everywhere overseas and in the states and saw and did much in 21 plus years of service to my country. Been everywhere except the North and South pole so you can't call me by-polar or any other nut case assigned name anyone can think up. I'm just saying that I have a much more informed view of the situation than the average American. And no I am not brainwashed. I hate war as much as the next guy because it is atrocious, but freedom does not come free. Putin - Time mags. man oof the year - yeah right. Dennis Miller was on The O'Reilly Factor last night and gave his top five. Miller's number one choice was the uniformed US service men and women. Slam Bush & the administration, Congress, et al. as much as you like. I happen to be one that would much rather play an away game than a home game day anytime.

I've done this song twice and it is no small feat. I applaud your work on this song. Parody-wise it is spot on! But I agree to disagree with the content. I'm still fiving you.

555 Sir L'air du Parody Politique ! Although I am not interested in the political scene, I feel lthat any man who wears CowBoy boots & tight jeans and worships Bo Derek(Kathleen Collins*) cannot be all that bad, Sir ! I heard that he has invited her several times to the 'La Grand Maison Blanc'. She is his sweet lady!

Thank you, Little CC... never heard of this, but what will Laura say?

Not sure what you mean by "Afghanistan's far shore," since Afghanistan does not have a coast, but this is good stuff. Although, the Iraq invasion had everything to do with enforcing UN Resolution 1441 and nothing to do with George HW Bush. The economy is strong thanks in part to tax cuts, and the problems with Katrina were more due to state and local issues, not federal issues. Otherwise, very well done.

Well I myself don't know the details/facts, but I think it's well written regardless. the economy is not strong John Jenkins, I'm sorry, but we are in debt over our heads, and that's both parties fault. . .Tax cuts are great, when you have a way to replace the funding. . .neither the Democrats or the Republicans are willing to do anything about our debt.

Thanks, John...you caught me on the Afghan error, but I imagine one could take a fine tooth comb to many of the parodies written here, and find a few such minor flaws...and, of course, you are excercising your First Right privilege in stating your opinion on the reasons, or non-reasons for the war..plus the condition of the economy, as I have exorcised mine in the content of this parody....And thanks, Dave...I don't profess to know all the facts, either. Just expressing what seems to be a high percentage of public opinion..as documented by GWB's popularity polls, and general mood of the country..but then, this is only a parody, and certainly not intended as a decree.

I may not agree 100% with the sentiment, but this was one well written parody. I give credit where it is due. 555
