The opening line was inspired by the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit issue cover. TOS portrayed a more romantic, naive era when idealized love was Platonic in Western cultures.

O.K., but I still prefer the illusions of Alec Wilder. Love wasn't platonic in the songs of the day. It was just unrealistically romantic. Surely, the vulgar was avoided.
