The Lyrics

In case I missed anyone with my first war protest parody, let me say that I am sick of the pointless, brainless, useless, conflict in Iraq. Let the troops come home for crying out loud!
I see the folks at war,
And I want to bring them back.
No more Iraq war;
I want them to turn back.
I see the news reports
About the new death rate.
I have to turn around
Before I get irate.

I see a line of troops
Trying to calm Iraq.
With weapons never found
They still cannot come back.
I hear that Dubya speak
Saying we need to beware.
Someone needs to tell that putz
There are no weapons there.

I see a fleet of planes;
They're there to bomb Iraq.
But it's strange because
They cannot bomb us back.
I see the articles
'Bout the troops we made behave.
But we also blew away the
Civilians we tried to save.

I see the money spent
For our time in Iraq.
I think that Uncle Sam,
He needs to pay us back.
We spend so much time and cash.
It makes no sense to me.
Why are we inside Iraq
While Osama's running free?

I guess if this was rue, it would be funnier. Some pacing problems.

As opposed to the pointed, brainy, useful conflict in Iraq? I must have missed that one. Here's five rotation points toward your discharge.

Another great Iraq parody, I have seen many on this site, and I just love when more creative ones appear!

Sorry, just saw this. Well done. It's unfortunate that half the country doesn't share this view - why are we in Iraq again? WMDs? They were part of 9/11? We need to give them their First Amendment Rights? No, I think this week's spin is - "war on terror".

(ABC) Pacing problems (4), tragically sad topic (4), but overall an intense and heartfelt parody (5).

(ABC05) Agree with Johnny D. I agree it is a tough OS Scathe, I've been trying to get something together for a while. Great work though.

ABC-- I like the message within saying that the war is pointless. Like the last part - 'Why are we inside Iraq While Osama's running free?' Very well done, Scathe.

(ABC05) I have to agree with Johnny. 445
