Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Tribute to Shirley Black Temple, who recently passed at the age of eighty-five
She brought us many joys
Made us forget our pains
That little girl with poise,
And heart and wit and brains
Knew how to make us feel sad,
Or shed a tear or two
Beyond our blue,
Smiles came through
So much she could do..

With her pout lip, Lollipop
Hands on her hip
And a curly mop
She'd dance and play
Light up movie screens
Way back in the day..

Blinked her "Bright Eyes"
"Heidi" charm
Played Rebecca
On the farm
A childhood Star
Who was sweeter than a chocolate bar

She could dance and stroll
like a grown up soul
Many movie duets she'd make
She was just too much,
Oh, oh,
Cute as cake,
Kept the world awake..

Not like some flip
Stars who flop
She grew up hip
Sparkled at the top,
No fame would stray
From our pout lip, Lollipop

R.I.P. Dear Lollipop

Self correction: she should be listed as Shirley Temple Black.

depression era doll-faced blonde in curls with a squeaky voice. best known for LOA. didn't like her then, and not now that she's dead. who cares? really? she was 85. had it not been for the depression and her cheap entertainment, the public probably would have more critical. she was replaced by the A-list pin-up actresses of the '40s anyway.

^ wow you're... a bit of a douche anyway I had no idea that Shirley Temple had died until just now! you'd think it would have been all over the news! oh well here's to Ms. Temple who no doubt is "Bright-Eyed" and happy in heaven proud of her accomplishments despite what SOME PEOPLE might think! 5's for this touching tribute!

I could report "didn't like her" user's retarded comment but then that would screw up Jonathan's good response to that POS. With that said, Shirley Temple have accomplished what many of us can never dream of and with that, she will be missed. To be fair, I wasn't aware she was alive until the news of her death.
