Since my record player is busted ATM I used a Live version of the song that I found here. About the rhymes parts, I went with what came to mind first.

Very odd color

Red and blue make it you say?

Orchid, magenta some shades
Puce? no name!
Mauve? no name!

Rhymes with few other-
Words except "her pull"*
Whirlpool's a stretch

Thanks Alvin, AFW, Step-chan, John B, Pat and Johnny D. My mother's favorite color is purple too. She has this plaque that has a poem called "When I Am An Old Woman". The first line is "I shall wear purple". It's pretty funny. Anyway, even though purple is not my favorite color I still like it.
