The Lyrics

Back in "Eighty Seven"
In Budweiser ads, appeared
A white, pink eared bull terrier
Real cool, and kinda' weird
Often wore big dark sunglasses
Sexy babes nearby
Perhaps too frisky with his paws
Explained his one black eye....

Hey, What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
That macho Bud Light hound
He was too cool, Spuds Mackenzie
We wish he was still around
Although kinda' silly
Those ads gave us joy
Hey, What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
Miss you Spudsy boy.

Well, we did our research
Using Keyword on the web
And dug up some information
On this pooch, "Celeb"
When they found out he was female
Image blown away
The fun of the facade was gone
A "Bud Light Bitch" don't play..

That's What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
The macho Bud Light hound
One cool canine, Spuds Mackenzie
We wish he(she) was still around
Though he(she) did look silly,
Those ads gave us joy
That's What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
Miss you Spudsy, Boy (Girl?)

Another blow in "Eighty Nine"
Caused Spuds career to sink
Moms Against Drunk Drivers claimed
He (she) tempted kids to drink
Spuds passed on, just four years later
Kidney failed, you see
He (she) may have sucked up too much Bud Light,
Or just irony...

That's What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
The macho Bud Light hound
In dog Heaven's, Spuds MacKenzie
Wishin' he was still around
Although, they were silly
Those ads gave us joy
That's What Happened To Spuds MacKenzie
We miss you, Spudsy, Boy (Girl)

Culturally, Spuds means nothing to me, Afw...But this was a well written, and a great choice of OS

The last time I heard that World War One song was in an old Peanuts special - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Now, do you Know Madamoiselle from Armentiers or Roses of Picardie? By the way, Spuds' descendants may be seen in the Westminster Kennel Club shows.
