Song Parodies -> "Homophones Are Strange"

Original Song Title:

"Home, Home on the Range"

Original Performer:

Traditional

Parody Song Title:

"Homophones Are Strange"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

In addition to those called out in the song, there are 12 other discrete homophones. Can you spot them all?
Lend your ear to roam--
Cell phone or Peter's dome?
Then there's "deer,"
Which can be wrote two ways.

Say welcome to "heard,"
Don't be deterred by "burred."
Is "good buy" what you purchase or say?

Homophones are strange
There's a "bier" that I won't drink,
No way!
There's acronym GERD
And "curd" from a Kurd's herd.
Also, there's "bi," which can go three ways.

12 others? I haven't heard this in a while, but the only ones I saw was " roam " vs " Rome " , "which" vs "witch" ( 2 cases ) and "two" vs "to". PS- Do you know the "special homphones" ( my word for them )- words pronounced the same but have no letters in common? I and aye ( or ) eye, ewe and you, eh and A, etc. Good word play. Phives.

I especially liked that three way reference. Very high marks for real.
