Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Traditional

Parody Song Title:

"Put Put Put Your Ball"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

This is for Kristof. Hope your hours on the green are very happy ones.
Put, put, put your ball
Gently down the green
Verily, verily, so necessarily
Golf is life's whipped cream

Drive, drive, drive your ball
Get a hole in one
This is just something all golfers will tell you now
Golfers know what's fun

Put, Put, Put your ball
Grip your 9 iron tight
Time on the fairway will make a guy happy and
Then he'll treat you right

Royce, putt has two t's. But, you generally don't use that tee when you putt, only when you drive so, no deduction.....555

Royce, nice job. 5's ~ ~ ~ ....also, it reminds me - the last time I played golf with my Dad (almost 10 years ago now) he made a Hole-in-One on the LAST hole...the first and only one he ever made in about 60-some-odd years of playing the game - on what will turn out to be the last hole he'll ever play. He's still around (age 90) but he won't be playing anymore...physical infirmities have unfortunately foreclosed on that possibility. But I'll always remember that shot.

Please, no more comments about "golfing" with your Dads on this thread, didn't you read between the sheets... ehh... I mean lines?

K-1, you know, the double-entendre within this completely flew over my head...kinda funny that I would totally miss it on the first read. It's really right out there...must be a sign or symptom of advancing age...

Sweetheart, I think YOU need to put YOUR balls on a different website...

Thanks for the nice comments, and putt does have two t's--I'm not a golfer and it didn't occur to me; but no double entendre intended in this parody, just a parody about golf; someone can always make a double entendre, if they want, I suppose, out of something---not always the author's intention. Paul, I appreciated your story about your dad, hope he does well.

Oh just a comment to sexy gay boy--someone who has to hide behind an assumed name probably doesn't need to talk about balls at all.

Hey, looks like I got it wrong not once, but twice...OR...maybe I got right twice and still didn't know what the hell I was saying. Anyway, if you gave me enough clues (accurate or not) and a little rope I'm sure I could find several more unintended meanings in this (or almost anything). Anyway...Thanks, Royce - Dad? Well, he's doing about as well as a 90-year old who broke his hip two years and is in the Early stages of Alzheimer's can be expected. He's only at the part where he forgets a whole lot and repeats stories or explanations a few times within the same sitting. WAIT...I do THAT...anyway, he's a tough old bird and he's been dealt crappy cards before yet he's still around. He'll play 'em out just like always. I bought him some DVD's of some of his old favorites (Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole)...he really likes them...but he can't remember how to work that new-fangled DVD player I bought him...so he only watches it when I come out to visit now on Saturdays...but he knows the words to almost all those old songs...some of which he hadn't heard in decades...
