The Lyrics

Here's one that's about my gratitude for life and liberty in this wonderful nation. The Battle Hymn of the Republic has some wonderful lyrics.
My ears have heard the stories of the terrorists' long swords
They have cut alot of heads off
In the name of some mad lord
And more days like nine eleven you know we cannot afford
Our freedom must march on

Chorus:
Old Ole Glory, what's it to ya?
Those extremists wanna rule ya
With religion they will fool ya
Our freedom must march on

They have done their evil damage to the towers in New York
And they'll do it in Chicago
If we're cowards and we're dorks
So we're all forced to be vigilant, the borders and the ports
Our freedom must march on

Gory, Gory, they will rule ya
On their spindle they will spool ya
They'll behead you and de-tool ya
Our freedom must march on

I have heard the whiners blasting
All our soldiers in Iraq
In the sunshine we are basking
Take the knife out of their backs
And I'm glad I'm not a woman
Who must walk around in black
Our freedom must march on

Glory, glory, what's it to ya
If some killers wanna rule ya
You think radicals are cool, ya?
Our freedom must march on

Bush has sounded out the trumpet
And he will not call retreat
And the hearts of brave young soldiers
With such courage, how they beat
And be swift, some will, at dissing them
you'd kick them with your feet?
Our freedom must march on

Old Ole Glory, what's it to ya
We are fighting in Fallujah
Takes alot of guts and moolah
Our freedom must march on

To the beauty of this country folks are coming to be free!
And I'm grateful for the blood that's spilled
To keep our liberty
They'd be fighting on your doorstep
If we weren't across the sea
Our freedom must march on

Love Ole Glory--what's it to ya?
You want terrorists to rule ya?
Take the blinders off, they'll fool ya
Our freedom must march on

Well done, Royce. Very well expressed Memorial Day-type theme. I think that some good arguments can be made against the War in Iraq (we should not be the world’s policeman, etc.). But most of the people who are making the good arguments against the war (and the bad arguments, such as Bush intentionally lied about WMDs) would be the first to criticize him if another 9/11 occurred because we had not fought the War against Terror.

Excellent Royce! And even tho' it is obviously meant as a serious parody, I did do a little chortle over the 'de-tool ya' line!
