Don't want to be an American idiot.
I see all these kids singing along to this song like "Wow how true!" and they don't seem to realize they're being mocked. Paying to be mocked, even.

I went to a whore
He said my lifes a bore
So quit my whinin, 'Cause it's bringin her down
It's obviously a dike that he is talking to. Always thought it was peculiar... for those that don't see it, in the first half of the lines he's talking from his point of view where he knows that the guy is obviously a guy that wants to be a woman, and then the other half is what the tranny prostitute is saying.

Sugar and spice and everything nice wasn't made for only girls
G.I. Joe in panty hose is making room for the one and only
King for a day princess by dawn
King for a day in a leather thong
No reason; all these lines together are just funny.

Bite my lip and close my eyes
take me away to Paradise
Some say quit or I'll go blind...
You guys might think I'm crazy for saying this, but I just think this part of the song is hilarious because it talks about effing off, as does the rest of the song, pretty much.

Call me pathetic call me what you will
Just after Billie Joe sings this you can hear Mike, the bassist, call him 'what you will' (IOW, he takes it literally!).

He means Ceasar as the ruler, but then talks about seizing the day

A Molotov cocktail is a bomb but they're implying it as a drink.

There is no place like home, when you got no place to go.
It's like a contradiction.

Emergency evacuation protest
May impair your ability to operate machinery
I liked this lyric because it sounded like a tribute to Eminem and his chainsaw (he doesn't seem to exactly have much 'ability to operate machinery' in some of his live performances)!
