U2's,
"City Of Blinding Lights"
The more you see the less you know
The less you find out as you go
I know more than I know now
It sounds like Bono is saying he is becoming stupider as time goes by.

I don't know you, and you don't know the half of it.
Well, Bono, since I haven't met you, of course I don't know you. As for knowing the half of it, maybe I know more than you think I do, since you don't know me, either.

But if the sky can cry there must be someway back
Well, yes! That's why they invented spaceships!

Your eyes make a circle.
Whoever wrote this lyric forgot the basic math principle which states that two points determine a line. perhaps his head was spinning?

Lemon: See through in the sunlight. She wore lemon, But never in the daylight.
If she never wore it in daylight... how do they know its see through in the sunlight?? Bono- you know I love you... but it`s true.

U2's,
"Original Of The Species"
I'll give you everything you want
Except the thing that you want
So you're giving loads of stuff but not what they actually want...?

U2's,
"Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own"
Sing, you're the reason why I sing
You're the reason why the opera is in me
Well, half of it makes sense. Someone could have been the reason why he sings. But, the second part is crazy! You do not sing opera, Bono, so why did you write that lyric?! That just makes me picture Bono singing opera, which is a really funny thought.

Tequila and orange,
Jamaica and rum,
Ette Maria,
honey on my tongue.
Any idea as to why these things are lumped into these lines?

Eternal fire, she turned me to straw
Someone turned Bono to straw!? It does not make sense at all. Last time I checked, Bono doesn't look much like a piece of straw. And where does "eternal fire" fall into context here?

U2's,
"The Hands That Built America"
From the stony fields
To hanging steel from skies
I know that Bono was trying to speak in metaphor but how the hell does one hang steel from the sky? There's no way that would work

I'm at a place called Vertigo!
Is 'Vertigo' the actual name of a locality? Where exactly is this place called 'Vertigo'?

Uno! Dos! Tres! Catorce!
This line (which occurs at the intro of the song) may seem nonsensical because it literally means "One, two, three, fourteen" in spanish, but there is a meaning behind it. This is reportedly a shoutout to the album's producer, who produced U2's first, second, third, and fourteenth albums.
