• They were originally called Grundig, but a german electronics company of the same name sued them and they had no ideas. They were sitting around with Wes Borland (formerly of Limp Bizkit) and upon hearing what happened to them said "man, that's cold" Submitted by: Craig

• One of the reasons it's stupid is that the name is so generic that it's almost impossible to find their self-titled debut album on amazon.com. I've tried many different submissions (Cold self-titled, Cold Scooter Ward, etc.) and none of them got me the right one. • For a psuedo-heavy metal band, the name doesn't sound scary at all. A lot of pepole like the cold, especially skiers, snowboarders, fans of the Christmas season, and snow-plow geeks. And I thought "The Killers" was a lame name for a band. Submitted by: The Skuz
