Eifel 65Band Name Origins:
- The band wanted to be associated with something known or recognized worldwide. The Eiffel Tower was one of the first things that came to their minds. The band was originally named Eiffel 1665 (since there are 1665 steps in the Eiffel Tower), but their manager convinced them to change the name to Eiffel 65 because "it sounded more hip". Personally, I like it better too. Submitted by: Bill Fung
- Eiffel 65, decided, for some reason that they were going to a have a computer randomly find a word. This word would become their band name. The random word came out to be "eiffel." The 65 on the end of their name came about because the original publishers screwed up and accidentally put some form of the informational numbers for the band. So, "Eiffel 65" became there name. Stupid Band Names:
- Was there supposed to be something about the Eiffel Tower in 1965 that they found significant? Or did they just find a picture of the tower from that year, they happened to like somewhere? Submitted by: The Skuz
- First problem: It was created from a computer program. Note to all struggling musicians - NEVER use computers to come up with a band name. Second problem: The Eiffel Tower in in France, they come from Italy. Note - try to be accurate about where you are from. Third problem: 65?? Upbeat Songs With Depressing Lyrics:

The Lyrics: Blue are the feelings that live inside me
I'm blue da ba dee da ba di da ba dee da ba di. Why: The song is all about how this guy and everyone and everything in his life are blue (as in depressed). But the music is a catchy techno-dance, fast-paced, upbeat tune. And the da ba dee's and da ba di's in the chorus really make you want to sing along with it. Even though he's singing in a weird sounding monotone. OK so some of the time he sounds kind of upbeat even though the song is about being depressed. But the music makes it sound so happy and fun. I like the song because of the music and the way it's sang even though it's about being depressed. It's a different kind of song alright! It really makes you want to dance to it. Even though it's about being depressed, it makes me feel good when I hear it.
