- Because om the original line up, Mick Jones, Al Greenwood and Ian McDonald are from England and Lou Gramm, Dennis Elliot,and Ed Gagliardi are from America. Half the band members would be considered foreigners in England and the other half would be foreigners in America. They then decided to name themselves Foreigner. Submitted by: Some Guy

The Lyrics: "You hear me talk, but you don't hear what I say.
I guess it don't even matter." Why: It don't even matter should be it doesn't even matter. I suppose they needed three syllables in there - don't even- but wouldn't it have worked just as well to say "it doesn't matter" and drag the doesn't out a little bit to make up for the third syllable. There's never any good reason to say "it don't matter" unless you are trying to sound like an uneducated hick.

The cover of this 1979 album was banned in the southern U.S. states (the so-called "Bible belt"). The album showed a young girl (in her teens or 20s maybe) wearing a short dress in a men's restroom (there are urinals on the wall). Also, even though the title track is about lovers' spats the word "head" suggests another meaning with the cover picture. On top of that "head" is U.S. Navy jargon for "restroom".
