Long before the PMRC, music has been underfire for one reason or another. After the PMRC however, warning labels became far more prelevant with the black and white 'Explicit Lyrics' tag. We're looking to list all the albums with warnings EXCEPT for the explicit lyrics label (too many to list).

"Tin Machine II," Tin Machine
The second album from David Bowie's hard rock band Tin Machine was released in 1991. The cover art has 4 ancient Greek statues, of NUDE men (oh no). The morals of our Grand Republic were saved and for the U.S. release the genetilia of the statues were "airbrushed" off. They did a lousy job - it looks more the statues had their ding dongs torn off. Oh but the morality police saved the day again (NOT).

On the rear jacket of the original edition of the disc, there is a warning, " This stereo record cannot be played on old tin boxes no matter what they are fitted with. If you are in possession of such equipment please hand it into the nearest police station."

On the inside of the booklett, there is the warning: "This stero record can still not be played on old tin boxes no matter what they are fitted with. If you are in possession of such equipment plese hand it into the nearest police Station", a reference to the 1971 album.

The cover shows John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono, just standing there naked. The album was sold as it was for about a two days, then they had to start selling them in a brown paper bag like package.
