Phil, Well, scoring this Element paean is elementary: 555. However, you can tell me about Chemistry but you can't make me understand it. Chemistry was easily my most Clueless subject ever. I could never avail myself of exactly what valences were and what the hell to do with them. This clueless ignorance was exponentially compounded by the fact that my High School Chem. teacher (Mr. Rubin at Dorsey High in Los Angeles) remembered my older brother, David, from about 5 years before. Happens he was an Ace at Chemistry. He asked if that was my brother and seemed pleased when I said yes. To say he was soon gravely disappointed would be understating the case. Suffice it to say the situation made both Teacher and Student quite miserable.
You took my electrons away....

Phil, No problem, I saw it and for a moment I thought, "I wonder if THAT'S one they spell differently on the other of the ocean. But I really didn't think so. I really didn't want to make a big deal out of it so I just used the correct spelling in the comment. I figured anybody that understands the nomenclature of the Periodic Table AND can boil it down and explain it in a song parody AND do so in easily understandable language certainly doesn't need me to sit here and go "Chlass, Phillip here has mispelled "paean" on his paper". Besides, looking back to High School I do recall the normally pitiless Mr. Rubin did not go out of his way to humilate me, and believe me, that WAS an exception in his class.
