The Lyrics

I see rusty wall and I want to paint it black;
the color will scare them and give them a setback.
I see the world in terms of us opposed to those.
That hue will give them dread; I don’t want dusky rose.

I see those lines of people trying to attack
a wall that’s poorly made and tending to go slack.
I see people that I dread and want them kept away.
Some come here with babies, whom I’ll cage for many days.

Won’t look inside myself to see my heart is black.
I’m so enraged…surprised I don’t have an attack.
I’ve no ken and bray away, unwilling to face the facts.
It’s not easy facing up when your worldview is wack.

The virus kills thousands, and yet, what do I do?
I worry about the wall and its painted hue.

So dumb that I looked directly into the sun.
I love my wall so much, even though it ain’t plumb.

I see rusty wall and I want to paint it black;
the color will deter the deluge of wetbacks.
I see the world almost in terms of this one goal.
There’s tens of thousands dead. TS. Wall, black as coal!
