Parody Song Title:

"I Am Barack"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I’s sent one day
From in deepest, darkest Kenya.
I am a clone,
Gazing from my window to Penn. Ave. below
To a restless throng that’s crying out to know.

I am Barack,
I am from Ireland.

I’m from Gaul.
I’m forging my deeds nightly
’cause I prevaricate.
I have a Swedish kinship; Kindler’s my real name.
I’m African; I’m from the plains of Spain.

I am Barack,
I am from Thailand.

Norse talk I love;
I adore the fjords of Norge.
I’m a sleeper for our enemies.
Under my curls the number that is not 555;
I’m Beelzebub with inner-city jive.

I’m am Barack,
I’m not Hawaiian.

I’ve cooked the books
Of my homeland’s authenticity.
I’m from Greenland, a pot farmer.
Hiding news of womb from which I did zoom—
I’m Vulcan; from space vulva issued me.

I am Barack,
I’m from a Nile land.

And Barack’s not my name.
I’m a lying Nether guy.

"I Am A Rock" is one of my all time favorite pop songs. Your questioning of the President's antecedents goes the right-wing conspiracy mongers ten times better. And with a much better sense of humor. I don't consider Obama an American, but I accept that he was born in Hawaii. The difference is one of philosophy, not the geographic location of his birth.

I wanted to compliment you on yesterday's I Am A Dog, but the comment option wasn't activated. You've now done a frog, a dog, and a log..lol ;D Keep "Rock-ing" 5-5-5!

ROFL: Love it, love it, love it!!! Did you ever see Neil Simon's movie "The Cheap Detective", where Madeline Kahn keeps changing her name? What a hoot...

Thought that yours truly had completed the trilogy of this title switch, but this was well worthy of making it a quadrilogy -- far superior to the other two efforts (mwahahaha, kidding, in a way). Esp. liked the varied geographical refrains. .... btw, some of the pre-election ones that predicted disappointment, and were panned then, are proving amazingly accurate.

Expect we'll see more of this title sub, but would hope potential writers read this one and realize how difficult/impossible it would be to top. 555

Yes -- loved it. Esp. ingenious in parodying *two* movies at once: Casablanca, my all-time fave flick, and The Maltese Falcon. Throwing "Deep Purple" on top of "La Marseille" and "Deutschland Über Alles (actual title, "Das Deutschlandlied") still has me ROFL every time I see itt.

Yes, I too wanted to comment on your "I am a dog" parody but alas could not. Arf X(5) for that one. Now that is three on "I am a rock" - this is my fave. The exaggeration in this parody makes it so great. High 5's Sir John.
