Parody Song Title:

"Why Don't You Move to Iraq, Son?"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

Dedicated to the Hollywood community in general, and anyone reading who fits the bill.....
Why don't you move to Iraq, son?
Why don't you put words to action?
'Cause I'm tired
And I sigh
At the mire
You inspire
Why don't you move?
Why don't you move?

Well I'm cruising amiright
And a man writes in the parodies
Who's telling me more and more
About some hateful information
That's bound to give me palpitations

Why don't you move?
A go go go go!
A hey hey hey
Just leave today!

Why don't you move to Iraq, son?
Why don't you find time to pack, son?
'Cause I'm tired
Of your cries
And the lies
You devise
Why don't you go?
Why don't you go?

Well I'm watching my TV
And Alec comes on and tells me
What my politics should be
But he can't be a man 'cause he don't support
The tenets of democracy

Why don't you move?
A go go go go!
A hey hey hey
Embark today!

Why don't you move to Iraq, son?
And take with you, Jesse Jackson?
'Cause I'm tired
Of your whine
All the time
It's a crime
Why don't you move?
Why don't you move?

Well I drive through Hollywood
And they're mocking this and they're knocking that
And they're trying to run the world
I tell ya Clooney baby go back
Maybe next week
Can't you see you need
An airline seat?

Why don't you move?
A go go go go!
A hey hey hey
Jump in the bay....

Why don't you move?
Why don't you go?
Why don't you split?
No oil you'll lack son
No more Bush whack son
No movie action
Just Saddam's faction
Why don't you move?

PERFECT SCORE! I love it! But why didnt you mention Sean Penn?
Michael Pacholek - March 05, 2003 - Report this comment
Why didn't he mention Sean Penn? Because he's a creep who doesn't deserve mention! And that's got nothing to do with his politics. Personally, I wish he would stay in Iraq. Three of his movies watched and Saddam will give up!

Rice, I was thinking of putting "Seany" instead of "Clooney" but the rhythm wasn't as good!

Well written, but don't Bushies have anything better to say than "why don't you move?" Any flag wavers here enlisting, or are they chickenhawks like Dubya.
Rice Cube - March 13, 2003 - Report this comment
Absolutely nothing wrong with waving the flag to show your patriotism. And yes, if they needed me to, I'd enlist.

Nick ! You would be wrong to assume I am a Bushie ! I am someone who likes to try to write parodies - I would just as quickly write one leaning the other way. Parody to me = funny. I like black humour and as far as this half of the writing team is concerned - no-one is sacred regardless of their station in life. Cheers !

Hey Nick! This half is the foaming-at-the-mouth radical Republican! ;-)

And Nick ! This half is the one likely to be sitting on the fence even if it's made of razor wire !

I appreciate it for what it is - a bit of fun! Loved it!

I loved this parody, and while I am strongly anti-war, I still support the brave people who are defending our country regardless. But I still insist that Bush's attitude toward Iraq turned me from his supporter to his detractor. I hope the Democrats can come up with someone worth voting before 2004.
