The Lyrics

I was reminded recently of GWB saying that God spoke to him, and one of the others in the conversation said "most times when someone talks about hearing voices in their head, they're called delusional".. .and this almost wrote itself.
It's not delusional to hear voices in my head
It's not delusional to do everything they said
Like start a war, and leaving half a million dead
I'm not delusional, 'cause I know why
They had to die

I'm not delusional and there's billions who agree
It's God inside my head, he thinks just the same as me
I got elected thanks to religiosity
I'm not delusional, nobody can deny
I'm just a normal guy
The voices happen all the time

It was God's voice I'm sure
That's why we went to war
All part of God's divine design

I'm not delusional, I'm not mad, it's not cocaine
I'm not delusional with God's voice inside my brain
Although I might just be certifiably insane
I'm not delusional, to listen to the metatron
Whoa-whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh

Love the OS. Love the parody !!!
I had to Google "Metatron" though.
For those who are as dense as I am...
Metatron (Hebrew מטטרון or מיטטרון) is the name of an angel in Judaism and some branches of Christianity and Islam

This sums it up pretty well

I hear voices for hours almost every day and I swear I'm not delusional! (could be that I work as a medical transcriptionist though).

Sir Phil, ~Lord DownUdder~, great write, sir, but then 'we' voted for him(2x) . . . just how delusional is that, Sir ?

I hope we'll awaken on 1/20 and discover that the last eight years were all an illusion.

Thanks all :-)

IB - Metatron is often described as "The voice of God" - in the film "Dogma", Metatron (played by Alan Rickman - now, there's a good voice for God) says "any documented occasion where some yahoo claims they are speaking to God , they are speaking to me, or they're speaking to themselves"... OK, so it's a comedy, but let's not be dogmatic about it

UnKnownVO - er.. I'm not down udder, I mean "under".. nor am I a knight. But I will admit that I found it very strange that the US voted for him second time around in sufficient numbers for a victory to seem plausible, let alone actually enough to re-elect the chap.

JB - that would be a delusion... unfortunately

Phabulous, Phil .. phantastically phunny and worthy of a phistphul of phives. Wish I'd thought to write this one myself as "delusional" is the very descriptor I've for the past octet of anni applied to friends and acquaintances who remained--_remain_, even--commmitted Du(m)bya-ites even while conceding their lot worsened during his watch _because_ of his ways. Shrug. :-)

Sorry it took me so long to find this one, Phil, but God told me to give this one a 5. He was right, of course.

It's so delusional to think that there is no God and that Christians are to be feared. Look out for the empty hearted, self-righteous, commie fascist atheists - they murdered over 2.6 million in atheistic Cambodia, 21 million in WWII, 61 million in atheistic Russia, 72 million in atheistic China. Those who say they don't hear God in their heart and mind...those are the truly delusional. Otherwise, it was a clever parody worthy of applause for creativity. It's sad you found no delusional lines for Sadam, muslims, carter, clinton or obama - that is total delusion.

June - it's only a short parody about one specifically delusional Christian: I've done other ones about Saddam, Muslims, Clinton and Obama. You'd better rethink your delusion about who is/was atheist and who isn't, too. And where do I say "Christians are to be feared"? Is this not some other paranoid delusion interfering?
Stuart McArthur - April 27, 2009 - Report this comment
well God and his cronies keep carrying on and writing books about what a bad guy Satan is, and meanwhile Satan just cops it on the chin and doesn't write a single book bagging God at all - so to me Satan is the better man - phabulous stuff Phil ;-) - 555
