Tom Jones (covering Prince), Tom Jones and the CardigansWomen are still throwing their undies at me in concert but now the panties are quite a bit larger than they used to be. Submitted by: LucidLupin
| I always feel a bit guilty when Catherine Zeta Jones talks to me and I can't converse with her in Welsh. Let's not complain about why things don't work. Let's see if we can come up with something that we can all get behind. I haven't become an American! Having a house in LA is just where the house is. It's just a convenience thing living there. I carry Wales around inside me. I'd consider moving back there one day. I never really left. I like to drink to suit my location. I've always worn jewellery but for a time it went out of fashion. Like grungy and punk bands didn't wear jewellery because it was stupid. You can't be a sexy person unless you have something sexy to offer. With me, it's my voice: the way that I sing, the way I express myself when I sing Submitted by: LucidLupin

"It's Not Unusual"
The Nonsensical Lyrics: It's not unusual to go out at any time,
But when I see you out and about it's such a crime. Why They're Nonsensical: Is either the singer or the addressee or both an escaped convict? No such thing is implied by any other part of the song, but that is pretty much what it would take for any crime to be implied in the addressee's being out and about or the singer's being out and about to see the addressee out and about. The crime in that cad would be breaking out of prison, bot nothing about the song makes sense of any such inference, so the lines are for that reason nonsensical.

The Nonsensical Lyrics: I have conquered the world
All but one thing did I have Without love I'd have nothing at all Why They're Nonsensical: No person can conquer the world. No one can have all but one thing. And a person can still have things even without love.

| "It's Not Unusual"
The Inappropriate Lyrics: But if I ever find that you've changed at any time
It's not unusual, to find that I'm in love with you Why They're Inappropriate: An 'If...then' statement (sometimes with the 'then' implied but not stated, as above) is supposed to imply a logical connection between the 'if' clause and the 'then' clause. But in this case it is pretty darned inscrutable what logical connection, if any, could exist between the two clauses! [Note: My first choice was to submit this under 'Nonsensical Lyrics' but the submit function seems to have disappeared from that page! What has happened?]

| "What's New Pussycat?"
Opening Lines: What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah. What's new pussycat? Woah, woah.
Comments: Hot on the heels of Tom Jones first international top ten hit, "It's Not Unusual" he was requested to record the theme song for Peter Sellers new comedy for the fall of 1965, "What's New Pussycat?" Although, not totally as big of hit as "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?" was still a major international hit for Welchman Tom Jones.
