Parody Song Title:

"Mornings in Coffin"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Mornings in coffin—“nighttime” is “morning.”
Black night in offin’, fly like a bird. . .
OK, I'm meaning, like a bat soaring.
OK! I'm gleaning flesh and no GERD.*

Sweet the vein’s juice fall; once bit, undead ’un.
Liking that sluice fall from the thirst gash.
Praising the sweet fress of the wet carbon-
based life form. Eat less? Ha! Monster Mash.

Die in the sunlight, die in the morning;
Snoring’s not done right except by day.
Praising libation grazed from the gorging—
Blood satiation coming my way.

JAB - Great Halloween song by (Black) Cat Stevens. How about "I'm being followed by a death shadow"? Fine as usual. ;D

Very funny twist to such a reverent song. The first time I heard this song was in German by Peter Alexander (I think).

You caught me out with fress (fressen). Hadn't heard of it. Not even in the Oxford English.

Loved the title switch, and for some reason "... in offin'" tickled, as a clever rhyme for coffin. This proton pump has no inhibitor - it's reflexively pumping tripentavotathene right down your throat!

555, and missed you *very much* all last week -- since October 1st., actually. (wow, was that subtle, or what? ;)
