Parody Song Title:

"Standin' At My Front Door"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

Standin there in shirts of white, giving me some fright
Two young short-haired guys, carryin brochures
They will wanna talk some, shut the blinds and play dumb

Doo doo doo, standin at my front door

Wanna talk religion-why not about fishin
Just how many merit points have you amassed today
I'm not up to this chore-cut the lights hit the floor

Doo doo doo, standin at my front door

I'd rather see pink elephants
Or the ice cream man
would you like vanilla dipped in chocolate, little girl?
Doo doo doo
Now they both are leavin
I still ain't believin
Doo doo doo, standing at my front door

I'd rather see a circus act or the ice cream man
Would you like some nice orange sherbet little girl?
Doo doo doo
Don't bother me tomorrow
I don't want your sorrow
Doo doo doo, standing at my front door

Gettin back to Springer, this one is a zinger
Look at all of Jerry's guests, flying cross the floor
Don't bother me tomorrow
I don't want your sorrow
Doo doo doo, standing at my front door

I have the antidote, tell them your Jewish, it works every time. Even if it's little white lie it shall be cancelled out by "Thou shall not trespass against us"! No offense to our Jewish friends out there! Another good one is I'd love you to stay and chat, but I will be late for church. If all else fails try the Al Bundy (Married with Children)method a baseball bat concealed behind the front door.

Look at all of Jerry's guests, flying cross the floor <--- Great line Royce and so true. LOL And don't worry about Mike, I did one of these a few weeks ago called 'Lady Watchtower' and any one who wants to redo it has my blessing. After all, the people we parody do each other's songs all the time. You get 5's for this.

Great on, Royce! (And Michael - we have one in the works for this - the song, not the subject - maybe it's just CCR week)

Funny, I don't get as many of these visits as I used to...it's a shame because I think I'm ready, any minute now--anyway, great job and I'M gonna do this song too so there (maybe if it doesn't suck)
