"Mild Courses"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Inspired by the eating habits of one half of this duo - but which one ? :)
Wild food craving means queasiness through
Hot things I've shunned or I sought out the loo
Spiceless gravies and flavorless spam
You know I want victuals tasteless and bland

Mild courses: goodly pragmat' entree
Fired, vile sauces leave me gagging away

I clutched my tummy, had dull aching pain
Downed Pepto-Bismol, to keepeth me sane
Must keep intestines gastro-comply'n'
Food treats me much better if plain on my tine

Mild courses means that bowels don't complain
Mild, mild courses cause no flatulent pain

I groan while chilis, they set me afire
Pepper-fired seas'nings? Digestive-ly dire
Hate jalapenos; zing, I despise
If you are giving curries I dies

Mild courses, puddin' pasty and whey
Mild, mild courses - no frying I pray

Mild courses, shunnin' zesty okay?
Vile vile salsas - must hide them away

This, I can completely relate to. Bland is good - but this is anything but.. :)

Fun story, but I honestly think the pacing is a little too forced in a couple places, though, so I'm giving a 4-5-5. For instance, "goodly pragmat' entree", to me has a bit too much 'language forcing' and to me seems when awkward when I try to sing it . In this case "a pragmatic entry" would say the same thing and not lose any of the humor as far as I can see...it's still funny either way, but that would flow far more smoothly with the OS cadence/pacing. "Gastro-comply'n' strikes me the same way. I didn't try to work out an alternative but I'm pretty sure a good one could be found.
