Song Parodies -> "Cecilia 2008"

Original Song Title:

"Cecilia"

Original Performer:

Simon & Garfunkel

Parody Song Title:

"Cecilia 2008"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

Never was quite sure about the role Cecilia played in the S&G version of the song. The M&P Cecilia is a tad more transparent! The only question remaining is where can she be found?

A low-bitrate mp3 of the song can be found here.
Cecilia, you're play’n a new part
You’ve taken on a new role lately
Oh Cecilia, I’ll say “Mistress please”
I’ll beg and you tease and I’ll groan

Cecilia, you're staking my parts
You're making my rod enhanced daily
Oh Cecilia, you’re giving me thrills
Where’d you learn these skills that you’ve shown?
Muscle tone!

Making love to a TV tune with Cecilia
Watching Max Headroom
Said “You want to be de-based”
Then she plumped down a hood
(Leather) straight on my face

Cecilia, you're miles apart
From Simon and Garfunkel’s lady
Oh Cecilia, I’m down on my knees
I beg “Whip me please and I’ll moan”
In lewd tones!

Consternation
She’s pinned me again
She scratching with claws and with sharp things

’Xileration
She done me again
She’s feathering more and I'm laughing

"She's [something something] on my thing" might have been a funnier ending, but this song DOMINATES. 555

555! This was great! I'm not sure why (or maybe I am), but "Max Headroom" was the sub. that got me laughing!

Derry - That line was Pippin's contribution, he will be pleased. You know, we have over 400 parodies, but I can still go back and pretty much pick which lines were mine and which were Pip's. Kinda scary, huh?
Peregrin - August 26, 2012 - Report this comment
Yep! If I look at them long enough, most of each others' lines are obvious to me as well. It's only occasional that I have cause to wonder. I wa-wa-wa-wa-wonder...

I sometimes think that why readers may find our parodies enjoyable (those that do, at least) is because Peregrin = Bleedingly obvious and Meriadoc = Somewhat more esoteric wordsmithing.

Although, true, it is, that sometimes, Yoda, my lines, come out. Like.
