Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Some Flare Over Benghazi"

Parody Written by:

Barry J. Mitchel

The Lyrics

The departing U.S. Secretary of State said she will commit herself to philanthropy for some time period (probably less than four years). In my parody of TOS from The Wizard of Oz, she asserts that her recent troubles will not encumber her future ambitions. Auf Wiedersehen, Hillary Clinton!
Some stared over Benghazi's
Raids that night;
Terror band set infernos,
Pounced; innocent four died.

Some flare over Benghazi;
Wise ones rue,
And the dreams Tahrir Square brewed, seem
Really won't come true.

Someday I'll run for president,
Plan shake-up when these clouds are far
Behind me,
Share troubles felt by feminists
And pray that hov'ring columnists
Will there cool find me.

Some years after Benghazi,
Few words fly.
Gird I, overtly strain show,
Cry then so Right can't pry.

If scrappy witty Bill could fly
Beyond his stain so
High, oh why can't I?

I'd change "when these clouds are far" to "with this evidence" to rhyme approximately with "president" above it.

Whether I give you straight ones or three fives, what difference does it make at this point? (pounding my ists on the table for emphasis) Now excuse me....I have a big feel-good 60 Minutes appearace with the President. Wicked job here. ;D

Dig it! One of my favorite OS's and an interesting topic to boot. Favorite line: "If scrappy, witty Bill could fly / Beyond his stain so / High, oh why can't I"!

Excellent job, Barry. I hope "What difference does it make" are the last words she hears in this world -- one would hope, before they drop the cyanide pellets (personally, I'd prefer to see her hanged, but I'm old-fashioned that way).

TJC: Thanks; that was Monica Lewinsky's unlaundered dress, and more.
Dana: Thanks; let's hope that 2016's Republican candidate is tougher than Romney was in reminding voters of his/her opponent's record.
