Band Name Origins:

Just a slight correction to the explanation above regarding the original Chinese radical communists dubbed the Gang of Four. These four, lead by Mao Tse-tung's wife Jiang Qing (formerly Lan P'ing, nee Li Yun-ho) were politically active from 1969 (Chinese Cultural Revolution) to 1976 (Mao's death).
