When I first got on Amiright, I didn't take it real seriously. I deliberately tried to write the worst parodies ever. And my persona was the lone, mysterious Yoidy, who didn't need any support from anyone. Well, that soon became no fun.
It turns out I really need all your support! Thank you so much for the feedback over the years. A special thank you goes to Wild Man, who dug my style.
I started writing parodies in my 20s, when there was no internet. I also write poems that have been described as weird and satirical. I mix up parodies, satirical monologues, and poetry in open readings.
My influences are Wacky Packages, Frank Zappa, Jello Biafra, and Joe Meek. Growing up, I enjoyed Mad Magazine, National Lampoon, and Spy Magazine. My favorite sketch shows are SCTV and MADTV.
I'm glad Amiright is making my rock-n-roll dreams come true!
