I am not much of a musician or performer, just an average Jane with a long commute and too much time on my hands to listen to music and think of alternative lyrics. I owe my somewhat crass sense of humor to growing up with an older brother and his friends, still some of the funniest people I know.
While in college I majored in psychology and English with a creative writing concentration, which can be a frightening combination. I once started a pastiche project of the entire collection of Shakespeare's sonnets. I gave up around 30 or so when I realized that a) no one would ever be interested, and b) I was only doing it to impress my professor, whom I was in love with, and with whom I had no chance with because he was gay. But it gave me the opportunity to learn about the art of mimicking meter and rhyme, and lo and behold, I eventually found a new hobby.
Since you are reading my bio, I am going to assume that you read my work. I'll just point out a couple of my faves on the site... "Goodbye Pork and Beans," "Date Weighs a Heap," and "Bonafide Maki Roll." I'll let YOU figure out who wrote them and what the original songs were. ;-)
Thanks for reading my bio.
